AjaxBerlee WordPress theme released
Please use the latest version!
With proud I present to you ….. my theme. I finally decided it’s works good enough to be used by others. My theme is based on brajeshwar with some small visual adjustments. The biggest changes are under the hood:
- Instant Search (Gives you results when you type!)
- Instant Comment (Page does not reloaded when you submit your comment)
- Advanced Ajax page loading see My improved website response with Ajax and Solved latency problems with Ajax
All driven by my own build very light weighted framework which I will release hopefully later this week separately with a howto to adapt it to your own WordPress theme.
I released the theme and framework under GPL.
Please the latest version!
Please read the readme.txt before putting it on your site.
AjaxBerlee depends on a modified pagesnav version of Adi Sieker which you can download here
Note: for everyone whole I going to change things in the theme: Please go to line 26 of ajax.php and put // before ClientCache();
This will prevent the browser of displaying and old cached version of the theme (the content of WordPress is in any case up to date!)
TIP: Google Analytics support is build in. Take a look at footer.php:
Remove on line 7 <!— and —>
Remove on line 11 & 13 /* and */
And fill your UA number from Google analytics on line 12.

Hello,
I installed your theme and your modified PageNav plugin and activated it, but navigation thru page still doesnt work, well it works very weird.. Sometis when I click a link it works and other times it doesnt..
You can check it out here:
http://blog.m2-j.info/
Any idea where might be the problem?
Milan'che / October 18th, 2006, 7:32 pm
GEORGE: about the navigation, only Internet Explorer has problems with it. The Back and foward button does not work as expected. It will be fixed in IE 7 which will be out in a month or so… (I saw it working in the beta)… evenso Opera and Firefox don’t have a problem with back and forward.
I can’t help you with the plugin since you reverted back to Brajeshwar….
Same goes for Milan’che…
George and Milan’che: If you see this, please mail me (my email address is in the contact info in about…) so I could pick a time with you both individually to see what’s wrong… (I can’t see that now since you both reverted back for different reasons)

Hello, Nico. Thanx for response. I mean other thing, I am trying to view previous posts on page 2, but it still displays page 1 posts, however URL is: http://www.data.ge/page/2/ same problem is in Opera and FF.

[...] After releasing my AjaxBerlee WordPress theme George and Milan’Che reported problems with Google’s AdSense. This left me with a problem. Because new page requests in my theme are parsed over the old ones. [...]

Just to let you all know about problem when moving between pages. It’s resolved here and I believe the problem in Nico’s theme is a legacy of a bug in Brajeshwar theme.
Milan'che / October 31st, 2006, 5:36 pm
Mmm, adding that code that spade posted into the beginning of my loop doesn’t seem to work. (On the original Brajeshwar theme) Maybe I’m being a dunce about it. Either way, advice?

Navigation problems are solved with the new header.php… For those who already downloaded AjaxBerlee.zip please do it again…. The navigation problems occurred when gzip compression was not enabled…

Hi Gaurav,
Just remove the line:
background: url(i/title.gif) no-repeat 8% 70px;
in style.css
and put
background: url(i/title.gif) no-repeat 0 0; in the #container section…
You might want to add padding-top: 40px; to the #container section (where 40 is the height number of the image

hi nico! thank you so much for working on this theme! the instant search is really impressive.
i wanted to modify the theme so that it is two column instead of 3. i basically just took out col-left, but now i can’t get rid of the vertical line running through all the pages that used to separate that left column. i’ve tried looking through the code to find it but have not been able to.
can you tell me where the code is for that vertical line so that i can delete it?
thanks in advance!!
jerse / May 8th, 2007, 3:21 am
Hi Jerse,
Edit the style.css Look for the #wrap section and delete
background: url(i/wrap.gif) repeat-y;
This will delete both lines. So If you want only one line you need to edit wrap.gif.

Help!
I’m experimenting two problems with Losemymind with sidebar 1.0 theme:
1.date entry is wrong, appear 2007 instead 2008
2.tags under the post are not displayed, there is only a gray bar without any tags…
Can anyone help me?
I don’t know php…
Thanks, Vic
