Try searching “network”. The page “Network” is linking to the homepage itself. (Wordpress does not seem to search for pages in its default search, BTW.) And it seems to be caching something — my first post, which was certainly on the front page once but is buried now — still links to the front page.

I understand your reasons, although yes, my reason is for just-in-case incompatibilites / backwards compatibility.

I still think this works better than Livesearch, mainly because it can search pages. Keep it up!

When I normally search on a page, my habbit is to type in the keywords and press enter to search. I want the visitor take advantage of the instant search and not fall back into habbits, with oldschool manual searches. Thats why I disabled the enter.

I think the only good reason for allowing an enter is if the browser of the visitor is not accepting javascript. That’s a bit of downside to my script. The whole search won’t work without javascript…

Where did you found incorrect links? I can’t find them on this side and can’t find them on your site….

There seems to be a glitch when search for something found in a page. It displays the page as a result, but the link to it is incorrect.

Also, I think I’d still like it if the manual search is still applied when one hits enter. Good job nevertheless! ^^;
