Remove Novell Netware Client
When you migrate a Novell Netware client to an Active Directory domain it is always a difficult task to successfully uninstall an older Netware Client version.
I did such a migration and I used this vbscript, which I found on a newsgroup. This vbscript uninstall the Netware Client without any complaints. I modified the script so it will work on Windows 2000 and Windows XP and it works well for version 4.83 and 4.9 of the Novell Netware Client.

Wow, it worked! It won’t let me make changes to user account log-in but at least I no longer get the Netware password when I start the computer.

i think that to some some people who know how to work a computer it’s good.But to thows of us who don’t know that much or nothing at all about computers it’s hard.

I ran the script, and got a message that it failed to uninstall. I have removed any Netware protocols, services, etc. and my Network config is clean. I also followed all tips at Novell and Microsoft websites, but still get error that Client Services for Windows has disabled Welcome screen and Fast User Switching.

La Tasha: Don’t mess with your Novell Client (or any other software) if you really don’t know what you’re doing. You’ll end up doing more harm than good.
Mike: You have the MS Client for Novell Networks. It’s not the same as the Novell Client for Windows.

I have like 300 users to uninstall.
